What Is A Shifter?
A Shift is a mechanical device carrying power that far exceeds human ability. Taking the form of: a prosthetic, a device, a weapon, or another bodily enhancement other than a prosthetic. Shifts run off of an internal, rechargeable power system called: The I.P.S. They wear down after charging, however, and require to be replaced after a certain amount of time. Each Shift produced is given an ID during manufacturing and shipping. Once purchased, they are given a unique user ID along with their Shift ID. Personal Shift Mechanics (P.S.M.) must provide their Mechanical Licence along with their shift to their local manufacturing office in order to obtain an ID along with authority to assign a User ID to their customers.
Currently manufactured are Combat Sport Shifts, Medical Aid Shifts, Law Enforcement Shifts, and General Use Shifts.

ID is chosen via member number.
"How many operatives are in this branch?"
Numbers log at around 200 to 300. For privacy sake we refuse to disclose this information completely and also decline to post a complete list of our operatives.
